Worth Being There is run by two fans, not a data company. Here's exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do.
What we collect
- Your email address and team preference — when you join a trip list through one of our forms.
- Your first name and hometown — only if you tell us you want them shown on a trip roster. We ask first; being on the email list never puts your name on the site automatically.
- Basic, anonymous visit counts — we use privacy-friendly analytics (GoatCounter) that doesn't use cookies, doesn't fingerprint you, and can't identify you.
How we use it
To send you trip details for your team — meetup times and places, the local guide, and who else is going — through our newsletter platform, Beehiiv, which stores the list on our behalf. That's it.
What we never do
- We never sell your information, to anyone, for anything.
- We never share your email with other fans, sponsors, or partners.
- We never post your name on the site without asking you first.
Your choices
- Leave anytime — every email has an unsubscribe link, effective immediately.
- Come off a roster — reply to any email or contact us below and your name comes down.
- Be deleted entirely — ask, and we'll remove your record from our list within a few days.
